An Adventure in Rural Sardinia (Italy)
Loading Map....
Sardinia is a semi-autonomous Italian island in the Mediterranean. It had a unique Bronze Age Nuragic civilization from 1800 BC to 200 AD. 7,000 stone towers remain to this day – along with antiquities from Carthaginian, Roman, Byzantine, Germanic and Spanish occupations. We will drive through the mountains and coastal area of the southern half of Sardinia, ending in the capital, Cagliari. If you love Italian food (and who doesn’t?) you will love the Sardinian add-ons like malloreddus, fregola, and seadas. Presented by Paul Packter. Located in the Rees Room. (60 minutes)
