My Grandmother Frieda: The Flappers

Loading Map....
Join Theatre Director and Film Educator Debra Block as she honors her grandmother and explores the era of the Flappers. The “Bob” hairstyles, bow lips, rouged faces, rolled-up stockings, and loose-fitting dresses describe this 1920’s generation of independent American women. Jazz Music, risqué dance, the 19th Amendment giving women right to Vote inspired the group! Includes film clips, music, and short bio on silent film star Clara Bow!
